Coming Up:
Writing with Mind, Heart, and Flow
I'll be teaching this course at the Center for Arts and Culture in San Patricio, Mexico, for the first three Mondays in February 2027. Here’s a quick summary of the classes:
February 1: The Mind
Learn how your mind generates ideas and turns them into writing—so the process feels easier and more natural.
February 8: The Heart
Explore how memory and emotion shape meaningful writing that connects with readers.
February 15: Flow
Discover how to enter a focused, energized state that helps your writing flow with ease and momentum.

Every year I visit Melaque, Mexico. The town, in the larger coastal area of San Patricio, boasts swimmable beaches, lots of oceanside entertainment, and many venues where you can write or learn about writing. Here I am in my favorite coffee shop in Melaque, editing a fiction book.
